Single shot on Saturday: tableau

My gardening husband came in with this bunch of hydrangeas this afternoon, and it begged for a fuchsia vase. Something about this unlikely pairing with the shells and the bowl of garlic is so pleasing for me. How I love little treasures put together in a corner of the house...

Ooh, I love this too! I've got hydrangeas having a party in my backyard...

Gorgeous!
I think garlic is pretty, too.

Nice arrangement. My hydrangeas aren't in bloom yet in the midwest. Yours are lovely! What a great color.

Thank you! Hydrangeas have become one of my favorite flowers. This one bloomed early because it was from a hothouse plant we put in the garden for the girls for Mother's Day.

I've always loved hydrangeas. They seem like such a generous flower with their blooming fireworks. Love the bowl of garlic too!

Cheryl: What an apt description of hydrangea! Generous is exactly right. Most of ours are blue, and I'm eager to see what tones they produce this summer...
